How it started

My interest in military aviation, insignia and nose art, was sparked by an intigue in the many locally based WW2 airbases scattered across England's eastern region, in particular the USAAF 352nd Fighter Group, 'The Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney', a Fighter Group of aviation heroes, who flew the legendary North American built, Rolls Royce powered, P-51D Mustangs, which, during WW2, were stationed just twenty minutes from my home.

It was during visits to aviation museums, in particular the Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford, that I was first drawn to the way reflected light, colour and shapes, distorted while moving over the riveted, highly polished aluminium aircraft panels, a unique effect which constantly changes and continues to fascinate.

I qualified in design having successfully completing four years full-time study at Great Yarmouth College of Art & Design. After a time working in France, Italy and Spain, I returned to Norfolk where I currently live and work in graphics influenced architectural design, and specialise in sheet metal finishes, coatings and effects.
